Lake Charles Man Found Guilty of 2019 Murder of Ex-Girlfriend

Jewel D. Humphrey, 32, of Lake Charles, LA, was found guilty of one count of second-degree murder on November 19th, 2021.
Humphrey violently assaulted his ex-girlfriend in 2019, and the victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. Humphrey will be sentenced before Judge Derrick Kee on February 7, 2022.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Bobby Holmes and Taylor Alexander of the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.
