Lake Charles Man Found Guilty as Charged of Two Counts of 2nd Degree Murder After Setting Fire to a Mobile Home with People Inside
Lake Charles, Louisiana – A Lake Charles man has been found guilty of two counts of second-degree murder after setting fire to a mobile home with people inside.
Casey M. Hatch, 40, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, was found guilty as charged on two counts of Second Degree Murder on May 31, 2023, according to the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.
Hatch set fire to his mobile home in 2020, while three people inside; just one survived.
Hatch faces a mandatory life sentence for each of his convictions. Hatch’s sentencing will take place on July 21, 2023, before Judge Robert Wyatt.
Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office Assistant District Attorneys Charles Robinson, Conrad Huber, and Jordan Sutterfield prosecuted the case.
