Lake Charles, Louisiana – A 56-year-old Lake Charles man faces multiple charges related to inappropriate sexual contact with a juvenile family member following an investigation by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.
John T. Landry of Lake Charles, Louisiana, was arrested on September 9 after deputies responded to a residence in Lake Charles regarding reports of inappropriate sexual behavior involving a minor. The investigation revealed allegations that Landry had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a family member on multiple occasions.
Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives conducted an interview with Landry during the investigation. According to the sheriff’s office, Landry confirmed the allegations against him during questioning.
Following the investigation, Landry was arrested and transported to the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He has been charged with molestation of a juvenile and indecent behavior with juveniles. Bond information remains pending as the case proceeds through the judicial system.
Deputy Gabriel Aucoin served as the arresting officer in the case, while Detective Elizabeth Ivey is leading the ongoing investigation for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The charges against Landry represent serious felony offenses under Louisiana law. Molestation of a juvenile carries significant potential penalties, including lengthy prison sentences and mandatory registration as a sex offender upon conviction.
