Lake Charles, Louisiana – On March 12, 2025, agents from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested a 31-year-old man from Lake Charles, identified as Tyler Quentin Landry, on over 100 counts related to the possession and distribution of child pornography. The arrest follows a comprehensive investigation initiated by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Landry, who resides on Hodges Street in Lake Charles, faces 105 felony counts for allegedly possessing pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, as outlined in Louisiana Revised Statute 14:81.1E(5)(a). Additionally, he has been charged with three counts of distributing similar material and one count of unlawful deepfake under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:73.13, both of which are also classified as felonies.
The investigation was a collaborative effort involving the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.
Upon his arrest, Landry was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Jail, where his bond has been set at $1,420,000. Attorney General Liz Murrill commented on the severity of the charges, stating, “If you hurt our kids, you’re going to jail. We will not tolerate here in Louisiana.”
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
