On September 18, 2023, law enforcement officials received a report of a disturbance at a home on Ardoin Cove Road in Welsh, Louisiana. Upon their arrival, they observed a man identified as Steve Randall Soileau, aged 52 of Lake Charles, Louisiana exiting the rear door of the property.

When questioned regarding the situation, Soileau became agitated and began yelling.

It was discovered that a physical altercation had taken place between Soileau and his mother, resulting in his arrest on charges of domestic abuse battery.

Additionally, Soileau had two outstanding warrants for contempt of court.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
