Lake Charles Man Arrested for Child Pornography After Joint Investigation

From Louisiana State Police – On February 4, 2021, detectives assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, in conjunction with the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office as well as Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), arrested 21-year-old Jack Alvin Richard of Moss Bluff. Richard was arrested for downloading and distribution of pornography involving juveniles.
The investigation revealed Richard was downloading and distributing photographs and videos of child pornography. After a review of the evidence, it was determined that Richard was in possession of images and videos of child sex abuse. During questioning, Richard admitted to knowingly downloading and distributing the images and videos. He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center on a warrant charging him with 144 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles. His bond was set at $250,000.00
 
The Louisiana State Police maintains close partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and will continue to work to locate and arrest those individuals who choose to participate in the crime of child pornography.
