Lake Charles, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced plans to implement alternating intermittent lane closures in all directions of LA 14 at the intersection of Oak Park Boulevard in Lake Charles. The closures, set to take place from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., will begin on Monday, October 14, and are expected to conclude on Thursday, October 17.

The closures are necessary to allow crews to install new signal equipment at the intersection. This work is part of the DOTD’s ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the state’s transportation infrastructure.

During the closures, drivers can expect delays in all directions of LA 14 at Oak Park Boulevard. The intermittent nature of the closures means that lanes will be closed and reopened periodically throughout the day, allowing crews to work on different aspects of the project.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution when approaching the intersection and to be prepared for potential delays. It is recommended that drivers plan their trips in advance and consider alternative routes to minimize disruptions.
