Lake Charles Job Fair on May 1: Connect with Over 40 Employers at the Lake Charles Event Center

Lake Charles, Louisiana – The American Job Center and the Louisiana Workforce Commission are teaming up to hold a job fair on May 1st.

Are you currently out of work or considering switching careers? Are you an employer in need of new staff? If yes, the American Job Center in Region V is hosting a Quarterly Job Fair on Wednesday, May 1 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Exhibition Hall in the Lake Charles Event Center.

Over 40 employers are anticipated to be present.

Veterans who will receive special attention are advised to arrive at 9 a.m. to have first access to employers until 9:30 a.m.

The employment fair provides a valuable chance for employers to interact in person with potential employees and conduct interviews on the spot.

It is highly recommended for job seekers to dress professionally and bring a photo ID and multiple copies of their resume. It is also advisable to arrive early to ensure you have the chance to speak with potential employers. There is no need to pre-register.

The American Job Center is also seeking the participation of employers in the job fair. Employers can participate at no cost, but they must pre-register. Employers can follow this link to register for the job fair.

The American Job Center provides services to several parishes in Louisiana, including Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Jefferson Davis, and Vernon. The job fair is being organized by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, in partnership with the Workforce Development Board and the Louisiana Workforce Commission. The event is supported by funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
