Lake Charles, Louisiana – In December 2023, deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office pulled over a car and discovered Eileenann Large, 42, from Lake Charles, Louisiana in possession of multiple binders containing identification cards, credit and debit cards, social security cards, insurance cards, and medical files belonging to various individuals. Large was arrested on drug charges, booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center, and later released on bond with pending additional charges.
CPSO investigators continued to look into the discovery of multiple personal items in Large’s possession. After executing several search warrants and subpoenas, a warrant for Large’s arrest was issued on March 7. On March 12, Large was found during a traffic stop, and more financial documents and mail belonging to various individuals were found and confiscated.
Large was taken into custody on her warrant and brought to CPSO for interrogation. During the interview, she admitted to having the documents for many years and revealed that she also had belongings stored in two storage units. After a search warrant was executed at the storage units, detectives found numerous bags containing more financial documents, mail, and paperwork that belonged to individuals other than Large.
Large was taken to the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with identity theft. Judge Bobby Holmes established her bail at $75,000. The investigation is still ongoing and there is a possibility of additional charges. Detectives are currently trying to reach out to potential victims.
CPSO Deputy Seth Fusilier is the deputy who made the arrest in this case. CPSO Detectives Shelli Fontenot and Ken Castille are leading the investigation.
