Lake Charles, LA – Motorists traveling along I-10 Eastbound and Westbound should prepare for a temporary road closure scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 2025. The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that from 8:00 AM to 8:15 AM, both directions of the interstate will be subject to a rolling roadblock due to utility work in the area.
The closure will affect the section of I-10 just east of the I-210 interchange on the east side of Lake Charles. This short yet significant disruption aims to facilitate necessary utility repairs, ensuring the continued safety and reliability of the infrastructure.
A rolling roadblock is a traffic management technique where vehicles are temporarily halted to allow work to proceed safely. While the closure is brief, motorists are advised to plan their travels accordingly, as delays may occur.
