Lake Charles Gas Station Robbery Investigation Underway After Shots Fired, Two Arrested

Lake Charles, Louisiana - The Lake Charles Police Department is conducting an active investigation following a robbery at a Stripes gas station on Gerstner Memorial Drive that involved gunfire, though no injuries were reported.

Officers responded to the gas station located at 3201 Gerstner Memorial Drive after receiving a call about a robbery in progress. Upon arrival, investigators discovered that shots had been fired during the incident, according to reports from the Lake Charles Police Department.

Police found shell casings scattered throughout the parking lot, providing evidence of the gunfire that occurred during the robbery. Despite the presence of shell casings and confirmation that shots were fired, authorities confirmed that no one sustained injuries during the incident.

Two individuals were taken into custody in connection with the robbery. The Lake Charles Police Department has not released the identities of those detained or specific details about potential charges they may face.

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities continuing to gather evidence and conduct interviews related to the case. Police have not disclosed whether additional suspects are being sought or if recovered property was involved in the arrests.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
