Lake Charles FEMA Recovery & Appeal Service Center at Civic Center September 9 – October 8

FEMA will have a recovery & appeal service center located at the Lake Charles Civic Center starting September 9, 2021, and continuing until October 8, 2021. The FEMA center will be located in the Contraband Room at the Lake Charles Civic Center, and open Monday – Friday, 9 am – 4 pm. This center will provide in-person answers and assistance with personal recovery questions and help with filing appeals with FEMA.
At this center, you may submit an appeal letter with documents supporting your claim to FEMA if you disagree with decisions on eligibility or the amount of assistance you received. Specialists will be on-site to help you with writing appeal letters and uploading the required documentation.
