Lake Charles, Louisiana - The Lake Charles Event Center's Sudduth Coliseum will host a fall-themed roller skating event on Friday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The event, titled "Rollin' in Plaid," invites participants to wear flannel and bring their own roller skates or rollerblades for an evening of skating accompanied by music from KBYS Radio. Admission costs $5 per skater.
Skates will not be provided at the venue, so attendees will need to bring their own equipment. The event carries an age restriction for younger participants, as minors 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The Sudduth Coliseum, located within the Lake Charles Event Center, serves as the venue for the three-hour skating session. The facility regularly hosts community events and gatherings throughout the year.
KBYS Radio will provide music throughout the evening. The station, which serves the Lake Charles area, will select songs to accompany skaters as they move around the coliseum floor.
The fall-themed event encourages participants to dress in plaid or flannel patterns, though organizers have not indicated whether costumes are mandatory for admission.
Those planning to attend should prepare to bring their own skating equipment, as rental skates will not be available on-site. The $5 admission fee applies to each person skating at the event.
Parents and guardians should note the supervision requirement for attendees under 17 years of age. This policy ensures that younger skaters have adult oversight during the evening event.
