Lake Charles, Louisiana – The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has announced that a section of Parish Barn Road in Lake Charles will be closed for maintenance work from April 1 to April 4.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 1, a 4,200-foot portion of Parish Barn Road located near Mark Lebleu Road will be fully closed to traffic until 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 4. The closure is necessary for asphalt patching to improve the road conditions in the area.
Motorists traveling in the affected area are advised to follow detour routes to avoid disruptions to their journeys.
For drivers heading south on Denison Road, the recommended detour is to head west on LA 3059, then south on Claude Hebert Road, and finally east on Mark Lebleu Road to reach Parish Barn Road.
Those traveling north on Parish Barn Road should detour west on Mark Lebleu Road, proceed north on Claude Hebert Road, and then head east on LA 3059. For drivers heading east on Mark Lebleu Road, the detour route is north on Claude Hebert Road, followed by heading east on LA 3059. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists along the alternative routes.
