Lake Charles, Louisiana - Louisiana State Police are investigating an incident that occurred Saturday evening in Lake Charles, where a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's deputy was involved in a shooting during a domestic disturbance call.
According to reports from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO), deputies responded to a residence off Barn Stable Drive in Lake Charles around 8:00 p.m. on March 23, 2025. The situation escalated upon deputies making contact with a suspect, resulting in what officials describe as a "deputy-involved shooting."
The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not disclosed the extent of the individual's injuries at this time.
