Lake Charles’ Art in the Park Offers Free Artistic Learning Experiences with Local Experts

Lake Charles' Art in the Park Series Returns with Free Community Event

The City of Lake Charles is once again teaming up with the Imperial Calcasieu Museum Residency at the Museum Program to bring the community together for another installment of the 2024 Art in the Park Series. This month's session is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 10 am to noon at McMillan Park, located at 343 Goos St.

Artists currently in residence at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum will provide art instruction to attendees, and the City of Lake Charles will supply art materials and easels through its Partners in Parks Initiative. This free event is open to the public, offering a unique opportunity for residents to engage with local artists and explore their creative side.

The Art in the Park Series is a monthly initiative aimed at promoting community engagement and artistic expression. By partnering with local organizations, the City of Lake Charles aims to provide accessible and inclusive programs that cater to a diverse range of interests and ages.
