Lake Charles, LA - Southwest Louisiana residents and visitors can look forward to a diverse array of cultural events, live performances, and community gatherings during the first weekend of 2025, from January 3-5.

The weekend kicks off with multiple musical performances on Friday evening. Paul Piazza will perform at Tia Juanita's Fish Camp from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, while The Max Restaurant at The National hosts their regular live music during the same timeframe.

Art enthusiasts can visit the "Banks of the Sabie" exhibition featuring Ryan Courville at Gallery by the Lake, running from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Meanwhile, the 1911 Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center continues to display its enchanting Miniature Snow Village Collection through January 4.

Saturday morning presents multiple opportunities for fresh, local shopping as the Charlestown Farmers Market operates behind the Historic City Hall from 8:00 AM to noon. The Iowa Farmers Market and Meet Me at the Market events, both recurring on the first Saturday of each month, offer additional venues for community gathering and local commerce.

Sunday brings a selection of brunch options with live entertainment. Rikenjaks presents their Sunday Fun Day Zydeco Brunch featuring Zydecane from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while both Luna Bar & Grill Downtown and Tia Juanita's Fish Camp offer Jazz Brunch experiences. For families, Pinederosa Park hosts a Community Playdate from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The weekend concludes with the Pajama Jam Open Mic at Panorama Music House, providing a platform for local talent from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Sunday evening.
