Lake Charles, Louisiana – A vibrant lineup of events is scheduled in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana from March 14 to March 16, offering residents and visitors a variety of cultural, artistic, and recreational experiences. The week begins with an array of art exhibitions and social gatherings, culminating in themed celebrations over the weekend.

On March 14, Panorama Music House will host the band Choke featuring Vection at 9:00 PM. This performance is part of a lively evening that includes multiple art exhibits across the area. Notably, the 1911 Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center will feature two opening receptions: “Bloom Where You’re Planted” and an exhibition by Cody Broussard, both running from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Additionally, the center will showcase several art exhibitions, including the CPSB Student Art Exhibit and the McNeese Student Art Association Showcase, from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

For those seeking outdoor activities, Yoga by the Lake will offer a free community flow session at Mantra Yoga Center from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM. Later in the evening, Ray’s Lounge will host River Katz from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, followed by a lively music scene at Cajun’s Wharf Grill & Bar featuring local DJs until 2:00 AM.

March 15 will bring more festivities, including the St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Crying Eagle Brewing Company, which will run from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The DeQuincy Spring Market will occur at the DeQuincy Railroad Museum from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Music enthusiasts can enjoy performances by Paul Piazza at Luna Bar & Grill Downtown and DJ ROKST at Ray’s Lounge, both scheduled for later in the evening. The day will also include a farmers market at the historic city hall location from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

On March 16, the festivities will continue with a St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Blue Martini in the Golden Nugget Lake Charles beginning at 8:00 PM. The Tritico Theatre will present “The Hero’s Journey” at 6:00 PM, while Panorama Music House will host a Pajama Jam Open Mic starting at 8:00 PM. Additionally, various brunch events will be held, including a Sunday Fun Day Zydeco Brunch at Rikenjaks and a jazz brunch at Luna Bar & Grill.

Residents are encouraged to take part in these events that showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region, providing opportunities for artistic appreciation, community engagement, and entertainment.
