Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana Gear Up for a Fun-Filled Weekend November 22-24

Lake Charles, Louisiana – As the weekend approaches, residents and visitors of Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana are preparing for a diverse array of events, exhibitions, and activities that cater to various interests. From live music performances to exhibitions, farmers’ markets, and children’s programs, there’s something for everyone in this vibrant region.

A Weekend of Music and Entertainment

On Friday, November 22, music enthusiasts can look forward to several live performances. Matt Lewis and Carl Richardson will take the stage at Crying Eagle Brewing at 7:00 pm, while Lundyn will perform at Legacy 75 Cigar Lounge at 8:30 pm. Paul Piazza will also be performing at Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The weekend’s musical offerings will continue on Sunday, November 24, with Paul Piazza performing again at Crying Eagle Brewing from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Exhibitions and Art Displays

Art lovers will have plenty to explore in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana. The “Women Who Served” exhibition, presented by the Mayor’s Armed Forces Commission, will be on display at the 1911 Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center until November 30. The Banks of the Sabie exhibition, featuring Ryan Courville, will be showcased at Gallery by the Lake until January 3, 2025. Additionally, the Ephemeral Dreams exhibition will be on display at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum until January 2, 2025.

Family-Friendly Events and Activities

Families can enjoy a range of activities, including the McNeese Cowboy Block Party on November 22 and the Cajun Santa at Etie’s on November 23. The November Week 3: Adult Programs at the Library and November Week 3: Children/Family Programs at the Library will also be held from November 22 to 23, offering various activities for adults and children.

Recurring Events

Several recurring events will take place throughout the weekend. The Charlestown Farmers Market (Downtown) will be held on November 23, while Pajama Jam Open Mic at Panorama Music House will take place on November 24. The Sunday Fun Day Zydeco Brunch with Zydecane will be held at Rikenjaks on November 24, along with the Sunday Jazz Brunch at Luna Bar & Grill Downtown and Sunday Jazz Brunch at Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp.
