Lake Charles, Louisiana – Residents of Lake Charles and its surrounding areas can look forward to a fun-filled weekend of holiday events, music, and family activities. From December 20-22, various locations in Southwest Louisiana will host a range of events catering to diverse interests.
Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana Events Information
On Friday, December 20, music enthusiasts can enjoy live performances at different venues. Cadillac Possum will take the stage at Panorama Music House from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM, while That 90’s Show will perform at the same location from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Paul Piazza will entertain the crowd at Tia Juanita’s from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Live music will also be available at The Max Restaurant from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
In addition to music, families can participate in various activities, such as meeting Santa at Bolton Ford from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Children and adults alike can enjoy karaoke and a tacky sweater party at The Village Coffeehouse from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Calcasieu Parish Public Libraries will offer adult, children, and family programs at various locations and times.
Art enthusiasts can explore the Banks of the Sabie exhibit at the Gallery by the Lake, open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Imperial Calcasieu Museum will feature the Ephemeral Dreams exhibit, with various viewing times available. Visitors can also admire the Miniature Snow Village Collection and the Ubuhle Women: Beadwork and Art exhibit at the 1911 Historic City Hall, open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The festive season will be illuminated with Christmas lights at various locations, including The Grove and Pecan Street in Sulphur, Christmas Lights in Lake Charles at the Trinity Center, and Christmas on the Hill.
On Saturday, December 21, the Crying Eagle’s Winter Family Fun Fest will take place from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. An ugly sweater party will be held at The Cove from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM, and a Caribbean Christmas party will begin at 10:00 PM at Juicy’s Lounge. The Charlestown Farmers Market will open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The weekend will conclude with a variety of events on Sunday, December 22. GP’s Christmas Fest will be held at The Creative Corner from 12:00 PM, and adult programs will be offered at the Calcasieu Parish Public Libraries, starting at 2:00 PM. West Coast Dueling Pianos will perform at Panorama Music House from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Sunday brunches will be available at Rikenjaks, Luna Bar & Grill Downtown, and Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp.
