LaGrange High School Student Arrested for Threats Against School

From the Calcasieu Parish Sherrif’s Office – Earlier today (October 2, 2019) Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives were notified in reference to a threat from a student at LaGrange High School in Lake Charles.

During the initial investigation, detectives learned the 15-year-old boy was in the school office when he threatened to come back and shoot up the school. After interviewing the boy he was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center and charged with terrorizing.

CPSO Detective Greg Jordan is the lead investigator on the case.

The Calcasieu Parish School Board released the following information about the incident:

“This information is for the parents and guardians of students at LaGrange High School. The Calcasieu Parish School Board is aware of a situation involving potentially threatening behavior towards the school. We want to assure you that this situation has been taken very seriously and is being fully investigated by both the district and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office. The safety of faculty, staff and students will always be our number one priority. We want to assure parents and guardians that our campuses are safe places for students, and that will always be our primary focus.”
