LaGrange High School Placed on Lockdown After Threats on Social Media

During the morning of October 29, 2021, the Calcasieu Parish School Board announced that LaGrange High School was placed in a lockdown period due to potentially threatening behavior towards the school. The threat, circulating on social media, is being fully investigated by both the district and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office. The lockdown was lifted later during the same day and all students, faculty, and staff were reported as safe.
CPSB said that the safety of faculty, staff, and students will always be their number one priority, and they want to assure parents and guardians that Calcasieu Parish campuses are safe places for students, and that will always be theirprimary focus.
