LA108 Near Frederick Road Reopened

Update:

On may 1, 2022, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced that all of the previously announced maintenance on LA 108 (Cities Service Hwy.) near Frederick Road is completed and all lanes are open.

Original:

Sulphur, LA – On April 25, 2022, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that beginning April 26, LA 108 (Cities Service Hwy.) in Sulphur will be closed just north of Frederick Road to allow crews to replace a railroad crossing.

The closure is scheduled to begin April 26 at 6 a.m. until May 2 at 6 a.m.

The following detours will be in place to assist motorists:

Traveling on LA 108 (south of Frederick Road)
Travel southbound on La. 108, to La. 108 westbound to La. 1256 northbound to Interstate 10

Traveling on LA 1133
Travel northbound on LA 1133, to LA 108 westbound to LA 1256 northbound to Interstate 10

This work is related to the $4.9 million overlay project on a 4.99-mile section of La. 27 and LA 108 from LA 1256 to Interstate 10 in Calcasieu Parish.
