LA 27 Lane Closure in Hackberry Extended to January 18, 2019, Due to Inclement Weather

UPDATE: Due to inclement weather over the past two weeks, the lane closures originally scheduled for December 10, 2018 – January 6, 2019, has been extended through Friday, January 18, 2019.

There will be alternating lane closures on LA 27, at MP 69.5 (approximately 2.2 miles south of Ellender Bridge), in Hackberry. The closures will take place daily, between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

During closure times, a clear roadway width of 24 feet (two 12-foot travel lanes) will remain, and two-way traffic will be maintained in both directions via the use of flagmen.

The closure is necessary for the completion of roadway improvements along LA 27.

Motorists can expect delays through the work zone during this period. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to be on the lookout for work crews and equipment.
