K-9 Officer in Louisiana Assists in the Arrest of Three Suspects in September 5 Shooting

Shreveport, Louisiana – The Shreveport Police Department reported on September 6, 2022, that on September 5, 2022, at 8:20 p.m., patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway. Officers arrived to find a person with a gunshot wound to the chest. Officers responding to the call were able to get a description of the individuals, and they were able to find two suspects on east Washington Street. Another suspect was apprehended nearby with the help of Shreveport Police K-9 Sepp.

The Shreveport Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported the man, who had life-threatening injuries, to a local hospital.

The Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units were dispatched to the scene. CSIU acquired evidence, and investigators were able to learn more about the incident.
Investigators believe the three suspects stole the victim’s vehicle, which had been left unattended at a nearby apartment complex. The victim witnessed the offense and pursued it in another vehicle. The accused were involved in a car accident in the 1100 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway and began firing at the victim, wounding him in the chest and leg.

At the time this was published, the following three suspects had been charged with Attempted First Degree Murder.

19-year-old Juquentin Taylor
24-year-old Tyanna Waller
25-year-old Keiuntre Normandin
