Joint Louisiana State Police and FBI Operation Results in Arrests for Alleged Child Solicitation

Lafayette Parish, Louisiana – A joint operation conducted by the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has led to the arrest of two men on charges related to online solicitation of minors.

The investigation, which took place in March 2025, resulted in the arrests of 29-year-old John Jones of Arkansas and 50-year-old Joseph Dore of Lafayette, Louisiana. Both individuals now face serious charges related to alleged inappropriate online interactions with minors.

According to Louisiana State Police, investigators determined that Jones and Dore had engaged in indecent behavior with minors via online platforms. On March 19, authorities apprehended Jones, followed by Dore’s arrest the next day. Both suspects were processed at the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

The men face charges under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:81.3 (Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor) and Louisiana Revised Statute 14:81 (Indecent Behavior with Juveniles). Officials have indicated that the investigation remains active and ongoing.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
