Investigation Underway: Louisiana State Police Seek Information on Fatal Hit-and-Run on US 90

Jefferson Parish, Louisiana - On November 4, 2023, at around 6:40 p.m., the Louisiana State Police Troop B initiated an investigation into a tragic hit-and-run incident in Bridge City, Louisiana. A pedestrian, identified as Paul D. Dominy Jr., aged 65 and from Westwego, Louisiana lost his life in a fatal crash.

The preliminary findings indicate that Dominy Jr. was either standing or walking on U.S.90B west near Nine Mile Point Road in Bridge City when the collision occurred. Simultaneously, an unidentified vehicle traveling west on U.S.90B struck Dominy Jr. Unfortunately, the driver of the unknown vehicle did not stop and continued their journey west on U.S.90B.

Dominy Jr., sustaining severe injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Impairment is currently undetermined and toxicology tests are pending for further investigation purposes.
