Individual Shot and Taken to Hospital in Louisiana Officer-Involved Shooting in Shreveport, State Police Investigating
Shreveport, Louisiana – An individual has been shot and taken to the hospital in a Louisiana officer-involved shooting in Shreveport, State Police is investigating.
The Shreveport Police Department responded to a call for service involving shots fired in the neighborhood of Lapaloma Street and Tulane Avenue, within the city limits of Shreveport, Louisiana, on April 25, 2023, shortly before 5:00 p.m., according to Louisiana State Police (LSP).
As the officer arrived in the area, he reportedly encountered an armed individual, according to reports from authorities. Shots were exchanged during this encounter. The subject was hit and taken to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport with life-threatening injuries.
The Officer was unharmed.
The Shreveport Police Department requested that the Louisiana State Police investigate the officer-involved shooting. LSP investigators are actively processing the evidence.
