Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana – Impairment is suspected in a fatal early morning crash in Louisiana on LA 418 in Pointe Coupee Parish.
A tragic crash occurred in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana on June 1, 2023, shortly after 1 am that left one person dead and raised suspicions of impairment. The incident involved a 2012 Ford F-350 driven by John Goode, a 64-year-old man from Batchelor, Louisiana who was reportedly unrestrained at the time of the crash. According to Louisiana State Police Troop A, Goode’s vehicle was traveling north on LA 418 when the vehicle exited the roadway near the intersection of LA 418 and LA 417 and struck an embankment before coming to rest.
The event involved a single vehicle and resulted in fatal injuries to the driver, John Goode.
Louisiana State Police Troop A is currently investigating the crash, and a toxicology sample is being analyzed to determine the level of impairment.
