Authorities report that the I-210 Westbound ramp to I-10 Westbound near mile marker 25, close to Sulphur, remains closed following an 18-wheeler rollover incident. The rollover occurred earlier today, prompting a response from local law enforcement officials, including state troopers who are actively investigating the scene.

The 18-wheeler, a large commercial truck, has created a significant obstruction, blocking westbound traffic flow completely. Recovery operations for the vehicle are underway; however, officials are warning that the process may take an extended period of time, potentially leading to extended lane closures.

In light of the current situation, motorists traveling in the area are strongly advised to seek alternate routes to bypass the closed ramp. Local traffic reports suggest that there may be delays on surrounding roads as drivers attempt to navigate away from the incident. It is advisable for those in the vicinity to remain patient and follow any detour signs placed by the Department of Transportation.

Authorities are working to clear the site and ensure the safety of all motorists.

Original report from Louisiana State Police Troop D at 2 pm on July 24, 2024:

The I-210 Westbound ramp to I-10 Westbound near mile marker 25 (Sulphur) will be closed for approximately 4 hours. Troopers are currently investigating an 18-wheeler rollover. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes if possible.
