I-210 Project Nighttime Eastbound and Westbound Closures for June 10 – 13, 2019
UPDATE: The closure for June 13 has changed. The westbound direction will be closed June 13 from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., rather than the originally announced eastbound direction.
The I-210 Prien Lake Bridge (MM 1-3) will have additional nighttime closures from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. as follows:
- Monday, June 10: Eastbound direction
- Tuesday, June 11: Westbound direction
- Wednesday, June 12: Eastbound direction
- Thursday, June 13:
All work is weather dependent.
DOTD reminds motorists that traffic congestion is to be expected when approaching the project and within the work zone, especially during peak times.
The alternate routes for passenger vehicles and trucks 25 tons and less are I-10, LA 12 and US 190. LA 12 and US 190 can be accessed via LA 109, LA 27, US 171, or US 165. For trucks greater than 25 tons the alternate routes are I-10, US 190 and LA 12. US 190 and LA 12 can be accessed from the east via US 165 and US 171. Vehicles over 11 ft. wide may not travel through the work zone.

Lane Closure on West Prien Lake Road at Holly Hill Road Roundabout in Lake Charles until September 13, 2019

On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, there will be lane closures on two bridges on US 171 near Moss Bluff.
The southbound right lane of LA 385 (Ryan Street) at the intersection of McNeese Street will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Wednesday, September 4.
Lincoln Road, approximately 0.5 miles west of Lake Street in Lake Charles, will be closed from September 3, 2019, until February 28, 2020, to replace a bridge.

Lorenzo D. Watson, age 43, was found guilty by a Calcasieu Parish jury of aggravated rape, on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in the Fourteenth Judicial District Court, before the Honorable Sharon Wilson.
Troopers assigned to the Louisiana State Police Insurance Fraud / Auto Theft Unit brought two separate criminal cases to a conclusion over the last week resulting in numerous arrests.
