I-210 Prien Lake Bridge Eastbound Lane to Reopen and Remain Open by Next Week

Published November 22, 2019

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development anticipates the I-210 eastbound lane on the Prien Lake Bridge to reopen and remain open by next week, weather permitting. Nighttime eastbound lane closures will still occur, as needed.

One westbound lane on the I-210 Bridge will continue to remain closed 24/7 until the end of the project.

The project began in January 2019, and the installation of roadway and bridge lighting from east of the I-10 junction to just east of the Cove Lane Overpass continues. Striping and permanent pavement markers are being installed and will continue to be until the end of the project. The permanent median barrier between the bridge and the Cove Lane Overpass has been installed, and the inspection walkways under the main span have been completed.

The entire project is expected to be completed in January 2020, with progress dependent on weather.
