I-210 Bridge Emergency Closure in Both Directions April 26, 2020 – REOPENED

The I-210 Prien Lake Bridge has been reopened.

Earlier on April 26, 2020, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advised motorists that both directions of the I-210 Prien Lake Bridge between the Cove Lane Interchange and the I-210/I-10 interchange were closed due to an air quality incident.

No further details were available at the time this was published, however, some people have suggested that it may be due to the demolition of the old Certainteed chemical plant, but this has not yet been confirmed.
