Lake Charles, Louisiana – Interstate 10 westbound in Lake Charles is closed near the US 171 Exit due to an overturned 18-wheeler blocking the roadway.

The Lake Charles Police Department and Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) are advising drivers to avoid Interstate 10 westbound near Exit 33 (Hwy 171 Exit) until approximately 3 pm due to an overturned 18-wheeler blocking all westbound lanes.

Drivers should expect detours and delays in the area of the crash.
