Vinton, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) has announced that, effective immediately, the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 (I-10) at the Louisiana/Texas state line will be reduced to a single lane. This closure is necessary to facilitate maintenance repairs by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in Texas.
Motorists traveling west towards Texas should be prepared for delays and are advised to consider using an alternate route via LA 12 West. The lane closure will remain in effect until further notice, and LADOTD urges drivers to exercise caution when navigating the construction site.
During this time, motorists should remain vigilant and watch for work crews and their equipment. The LADOTD is working closely with TexDOT to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of all road users.
