I-10 West Reopens After Fatal Crash Near Crowley Closes Interstate for 6 Hours

Louisiana DOTD has reported that I-10 westbound near Crowley has now reopened after a multiple-vehicle fatal crash that occurred at approximately 12:30 am closed the roadway.

All lanes are open on I-10 West at Mile Marker 77 (before LA 1120). Traffic is no longer being diverted. Congestion has reached four miles.
 
From Louisiana State Police April 8, 2021, 12:35 am:
 
Troopers are currently on the scene of a multiple-vehicle fatal crash on I-10 westbound near mile marker 77 (west of Crowley). Westbound traffic is being diverted onto La 100 at Exit 80 in Crowley. The roadway is expected to be closed for several hours as the investigation continues.
Expect delays and avoid the area if possible.

I-10 West is closed at Mile Marker 77 (before LA 1120) due to an accident. Traffic is being diverted at LA 13 (Crowley). Congestion is minimal. Motorists are advised to take an alternate route.
