Vinton, Louisiana - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced the closure of the Interstate 10 Westbound on-ramp/auxiliary lane from Exit 8 (LA 108) in Vinton. This closure will be in effect from 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023, until 8 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023.
During this period, motorists traveling on LA 108 and wanting to access I-10 Westbound are advised to take an alternate route. The suggested detour is to proceed west on US 90 and then head south on LA 3063, which will lead directly to I-10 Westbound.
The closure is necessary to facilitate shoulder reconstruction along the affected section. By undertaking this maintenance work, the DOTD aims to enhance the safety and efficiency of the interstate for all road users.
