Lane Closures on I-10 near Vinton, Louisiana for Temporary Striping

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced lane closures along a segment of Interstate 10 near Vinton, Louisiana. These closures are necessary for crews to conduct temporary striping work.

For I-10 Westbound, the lane closures will be in effect from Exit 8 to Exit 7. Alternating lane closures will take place starting at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, and will continue until 6 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024.

On I-10 Eastbound, alternating lane closures will occur from Exit 7 to Exit 8. These closures are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, and will end at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Additionally, the Exit 4 Off-Ramp and On-Ramp will be closed during the same time frame. The ramps will not be closed at the same time.

Motorists should be aware of the detour information provided by the authorities. For traffic on I-10 Eastbound seeking to take Exit 4, it is recommended to continue eastbound on I-10, take Exit 7 (LA 3063) heading north (left turn), then turn left on US 90 going west, and finally turn left on US 90/LA 109 going south.

Drivers wishing to access I-10 Eastbound from US 90/LA 109 are advised to turn onto US 90 heading east at the intersection of US 90/LA 109 @ LA 3112, then turn right onto LA 3063 going south, and use the on-ramp to enter I-10 Eastbound.
