Westlake, Louisiana — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced a planned lane closure on Interstate 10 Eastbound in Westlake. The closure will affect the left lane from mile marker 25.2 to mile marker 26.6, beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, and continuing until 5 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. This schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions, according to DOTD officials.

The overnight closure is necessary for crews to perform essential repairs to the guardrail along this stretch of interstate.

DOTD advises motorists to plan for possible delays and to use caution when traveling through the work zone. Traffic patterns may shift, and workers and equipment will be present near the lane closure. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, stay alert, and follow posted signage for the safety of both motorists and roadway workers.
