I-10 Bridge Lane Closures Announced for October and November 2018

The maintenance on the I-10 Bridge has been completed. However, there is maintenance on the I-210 Bridge in Lake Charles that is expected to last throughout 2019 and cause significant delays on I-10 and I-210 through Lake Charles. LADOTD has announced maintenance work that will require lane closures on the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge between Westlake and Lake Charles. The lane maintenance is scheduled to start on October 4, 2018 October 8, 2018, and last until early November of 2018. Residents have been asked to use I-210 and Hwy. 90 if possible.

Eastbound Lanes Closures
  • October 8 – 12 Inside Lane Closed Completed Early
  • October 12 – 14 All lanes open
  • October 15 – 19 Outside Lane Closed Completed Early
  • October 20 – 21 All lanes open
Westbound Lane Closures
  • October 22 – 26 closure extended to October 27 due to weather delays Outside Lane Closed
  • October 28 All lanes open
  • October 29 – November 2 Inside Lane Closed
  • November 3 – 4 All lanes open
  • November 5 – 9 Outside Lane Closed

Lane closure dates and times are subject to change due to weather and other circumstances.

LADOTD has announced that daytime closures for maintenance on the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge have been completed. The daytime closure originally planned for November 5 through November 9, 2018, is no longer necessary.
