I-10 and US 171 Road Closures in Lake Charles Beginning August 10

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that beginning on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, there will be nighttime closures on I-10 between Enterprise Boulevard to east of Shattuck Street and on US 171 between Griffin Street and the I-10 overpass in Calcasieu Parish.

The closure schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday, August 10, from 8 p.m. to Wednesday, August 11, at 5 a.m. – alternating lane closures on I-10 westbound
  • Wednesday, August 11, from 8 p.m. to Thursday, August 12, at 5 a.m. – right lane closure on US 171 southbound

These closures will allow the contractor to finish the installation of the overhead truss signs on I-10 at Enterprise Boulevard and US 171 at I-10. All work is weather dependent.
