Houston Man Sentenced to 75 Years for Armed Jewelry Store Robbery in Louisiana

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – A Houston resident, Trevione J. Terry, 26, has been sentenced to 75 years in prison at hard labor for his role in an armed robbery that took place in 2020 in Calcasieu Parish. On July 31, Judge Michael Canaday handed down the sentence after Terry was found guilty as charged in June 2024.

The incident occurred when Terry robbed a local jewelry store, pointing a gun at the store employees’ heads during the heist. Assistant District Attorneys Jacob Johnson and Conrad Huber prosecuted the case for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office.

The sentence is a significant one, reflecting the severity of the crime and the danger posed to the innocent store employees.

The Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office has made it clear that they will not tolerate such dangerous and illegal behavior in their community.
