Homicide Detectives in Louisiana Investigating Deadly June 12 Shooting in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Homicide Detectives in Louisiana are investigating a deadly June 12 shooting in Baton Rouge.

The Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) confirmed that Homicide Detectives are looking into the deadly shooting of Donte Tate, 29, on June 12 in the 5300 block of Paige Street at around 9:53 p.m. Tate was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
During the inquiry, it was discovered that Tate and several others were standing in front of a store when shots were fired and he was hit.

According to BRPD, no motive or suspect has been discovered at this moment.

Authorities indicated that this is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information about the incident can call the Violent Crimes Unit at (225)389-4869 or (225)344-7867.
