Registered Sex Offender Faces New Charges in Calcasieu Parish

Lake Charles, Louisiana – A Lake Charles man has been indicted by a Calcasieu Parish Grand Jury on charges of sexual battery of a juvenile under 13, following an investigation that began in March 2021.

Blake A. Arabie, 33, of Lake Charles, Louisiana was arrested after detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) investigated allegations that he had inappropriately touched a young girl over a period of several years. According to authorities, the alleged abuse began when the victim was approximately 5 years old.

After a thorough investigation led by CPSO Special Victims Unit Detective Cory Myers, the case was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review. On March 27, 2025, the grand jury returned an indictment against Arabie, and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.

Following his arrest, Arabie was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Judge Tony Fazzio set Arabie’s bond at $1.5 million.

Court records indicate that Arabie is a registered sex offender with a prior conviction.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
