Georgia Man Arrested in Louisiana After Allegedly Stealing a Vehicle and Aiding Runaway Teen Reportedly Trying to Flee Abusive Family
Union Parish, Louisiana – A Georgia man has been arrested in Louisiana after allegedly stealing a vehicle and aiding a runaway teen reportedly trying to flee an abusive family member.
The Union Parish Sheriff’s Office stated on April 20, 2023, that on April 18, it received details that a stolen vehicle from Georgia may be in Union Parish. Authorities tracked down the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in Spearsville, Louisiana.
Noah Duran, 18, of Cumming, Georgia, was identified as the driver. The reporting agency confirmed that the vehicle was stolen, and Duran was arrested. A 16-year-old female was also found in the vehicle. According to reports, Duran admitted to assisting the juvenile in fleeing her Georgia home and indicated that they planned to travel to Arkansas together, reportedly to get her away from an abusive family member.
Duran was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things (Felony), Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile, and Fugitive from Justice, as he also faces felony charges in Georgia.
