Funeral Arrangements Announced for Well-known Sulphur Resident Shorty Breaux

Well-known Sulphur resident Warren James “Shorty” Breaux, passed away in his home on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at the age of 85. Shorty was most known for his help in raising thousands of dollars for Ronald McDonald House with his collection and donation of pull tabs. The City of Sulphur proclaimed June 8th as Shorty Breaux Day.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2021, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Father Edward Richard, M.S. will officiate. A private burial will be held Friday afternoon in Shorty’s hometown of Rayne under the direction of Johnson & Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Hall Thursday, 12 pm – 9 pm, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 pm and will resume Friday, 8 am – 10 am.

In honor of his work and favorite charity, pull tabs will be collected at Shorty’s visitation and sent to Ronald McDonald’s House.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shorty’s favorite charity, Ronald McDonald’s House at RMH of Houston, Inc., 1907 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston, TX 77030
