Frontal Boundary and Dry Circumstances Result in Extreme Fire Conditions in Louisiana
Louisiana - On October 26, 2022, the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) reported that on Monday, October 24, crews from Districts 1 and 2 responded to a fire in Union Parish.
This fire threatened several dwellings and private property. Extreme fire conditions resulted from a frontal boundary and dry circumstances.
Crews worked till the next morning, Tuesday, October 25, to put out the fire. Fortunately, no property or dwellings were destroyed. LDAF said that this is due to the prompt response and coordinated efforts of all the firefighters engaged.
The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry also thanked firefighters for their quick response.
