Lake Charles, Louisiana — The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks Initiative is collaborating with the Region 5 STEM Center to offer an educational space-themed event for local residents on Saturday, March 22. The free public event will take place from 9-11 a.m. at the Region 5 STEM Center, located at 1509 Enterprise Blvd.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the Starlab, a portable planetarium that provides an immersive astronomical experience. The Starlab allows visitors to observe stars, planets, and constellations in a dome-like environment, creating an educational simulation of the night sky.

This intergalactic adventure offers hands-on STEM activities for all ages. Beyond the Starlab experience, attendees can launch stomp rockets, which are air-powered projectiles activated by stomping on a launcher, and engage with robotics demonstrations.

The event is designed to spark interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through interactive learning experiences.
