Four Teens Arrested in Louisiana For Their Alleged Involvement in a Mobile Home Fire That Threatened the Lives of a Family in a Neighboring Home

St. Mary Parish, Louisiana – Four teens were arrested in Louisiana for their involvement in a mobile home fire that threatened the lives of a family living in a nearby home.

The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office (LASFM) revealed on May 16, 2023, that it had arrested four teens for their alleged involvement in an April mobile home fire that threatened the lives of a family in an adjacent residence.

On Wednesday, May 10, Lamonta Skinner, 19, Jaylon Boudreaux, 18, and a 17-year-old female were booked into the Franklin Jail on one count of Aggravated Arson.

On Monday, May 8, a 16-year-old female was booked into the Franklin Jail on one count of Aggravated Arson. She was eventually released into the care of her legal guardian.

The Franklin Fire Department responded to a complaint of a mobile home fire in the 1500 block of Railroad Avenue around 11 p.m. on April 30. The structure was empty, but the flames endangered a nearby mobile home occupied by a family with children.

As the Franklin Fire Department was investigating the origin and cause of the fire, information indicating that the fire was suspicious became available, and the LASFM was contacted to join the investigation.

The investigation team found the fire was intentionally started after assessing the area and taking witness accounts.
Further investigation efforts resulted in arrest warrants being acquired for the four suspects, and all four were taken into custody over the course of three days with the assistance of the Franklin Police Department.

The LASFM expressed gratitude to the Franklin Fire Department and the Franklin Police Department for their assistance in resolving this matter so swiftly.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
