Baton Rouge, Louisiana – A collaborative effort between the Louisiana State Police-Special Victims Unit (LSP-SVU), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Gonzales Police Department has led to the arrest of four individuals on charges related to trafficking children for sexual purposes.
On September 19, investigators received information about a missing juvenile from Texas, believed to be in the Gonzales, Louisiana area. Using various investigative methods, they successfully located the juvenile and made arrests. The four individuals charged are Kiara Davis, 20, of Gonzales, Louisiana; Jayden Hodge, 19, of Dallas, Texas; Antonio Jackson, 21, of Phoenix, Arizona; and La’Niyia Campbell, 18, of Dallas, Texas. Each has been charged under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:46.2 – Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes.
The investigation and subsequent arrests demonstrate the effectiveness of interagency collaboration in combating human trafficking and child exploitation. The arrested individuals were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail, and the rescued juvenile has been placed into the custody of the Department of Children and Family Services. The case remains under investigation.
